Amex Small Business Saturday 11/24/2012

American Express is willing to give you $25 PER card to spend at small businesses Saturday the 24th. Don’t miss it!

Shop Small on November 24th, 2012Procedure:

  • Sign up each card here
  • On Saturday, November 24, 2012, spend $25 or more on each card and get $25 back
  • It is believed that you will get $25 for each card even if they are authorized users of the same account as long as they are different card numbers (generally Amex generates different card numbers for authorized users while visa and mastercard personal cards usually don’t)
  • Note: Franchisee, government agencies and “large” business don’t count
  • Don’t forget Amex network cards issued by other banks such as the Citi American Airlines Amex; I have not found explicit mention that these are included, so beware, but I have heard that people were successful with some non-owned Amex cards last year
  • Spending ideas include buying gift certificates for your local masseuse, trainer or the like in $25 increments, going to dinner at a local restaurant and splitting the check between your cards (though tip extra since it is a pain for your server)

2011

Last year I had 12 valid Amex’s between my wife and I, so that was a free $300 for us!
