Hyatt Regency Maui, Hawaii

I stayed with my family and extended family at the Hyatt Regency in Maui for Christmas of 2019. It was a great experience. The Hyatt Regency is on Kaanapali beach, which is on the west side of the western peninsula of Maui. It is a very dry spot during the wet season so a great place for sun. Kaanapali is very touristy with lots of other major flag hotels nearby and a tourist shopping plaza called Whaler’s Village.

Rooms and Housekeeping

The rooms were nice and our basic 2 queen room handled 3 adults and 2 kids without too much trouble. There was a small dorm fridge in the room and a Keurig. Housekeeping was pretty basic, mostly making the beds and emptying the trash cans. Our room looked out on the neighboring Hyatt Residences property which was fine, especially since we weren’t paying for any type of view.
